I wanna be a poet
so I can write about anything, anywhere, and anyone
so I can cried all the tears, without any single tear
so I can break the rules, without breaking any

I wanna be a poet
so I can scream my deepest pain
heal my broken heart
sing my biggest dream

I wanna be a poet
so I can say I love you
or I miss you
even say I hate you
in many kinds of way

Not the simplest way
not the easiest way
not the clearest way

But, I wanna be a poet
so I can hold you through the night
with my words

I can touch your heart
and save mine

I may not be a poet
